The brief answer

I am Louise Boyd.

I am passionate about words, and communicating the best possible ‘you’ to your clients. With 8+ years of professional writing experience under my belt, I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible brands and across a huge number of different subjects.

I’m a self-employed writer. After working at digital agencies and in-house – both public and private sector – I am loving the opportunity to work more closely with my clients. It’s wonderful to be able to bring creativity, ideas and my own stamp of quality to everything I do. And I get as excited about my clients’ successes as they do.

The longer answer

I am Louise Boyd.

Over the last seven years I have worked across a huge range of topics for some of the biggest names in the business – Boots, Bupa, Topshop, Autoglass, M&S Money, Forestry Commission, Radisson Blu, British Airways, Rackspace – to name just a few.

I have a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh and have published several pieces of fiction and non-fiction.

Whether you’re looking for a light-hearted blog post, some persuasive web copy, technical product descriptions or a serious business newsletter, there is no subject to which I cannot turn my pen.

Experience. I’ve produced all sorts of content: blog posts, web pages, newsletters, articles, press releases, social content and creative projects. I understand the importance of balancing SEO, branding and usability. In addition to writing content, I tweak, proofread and edit it too – with the eyes of a hawk and the grammar of a pedantic English teacher.

Creativity. If you’re looking for ideas, I have a never-ending supply. Whether you’re looking for a new way to connect with your customers on social media or want to nail down your company’s tone of voice, I can offer a fresh perspective. I use tools to find out what’s trending, or delve into audience insights to tap into the type of content that truly resonates with your followers.

Professionalism. I take pride in working to the highest of standards. Good communication is a key element in producing perfect web content, so I’m a good listener. It’s my business to take your business seriously.
